Amazing breakfast and just an awesome atmosphere

Let me start by saying I have eaten at this place many times over the last 25 years, today was the last time I will eat here. I will make this as short and sweet as possible. The food used to be really good and the wait nowhere near as long. They must have a lot of people complain about the wait because now they have a sign outside stating this is not fast food. We waited 10 minutes to be seated. Not too bad. Ordered an omlette and a Reuben. After 40 minutes I asked the waitress if our food was almost done. She said it should be out soon and the place was packed and they were doing take out orders too. Waited another 15 minutes to finally get it. My Reuben was ok but barely had anything on it. The Pastrami actually had fatty portions which was gross. The omlette order was messed up on their part and had to be redone to make the wait even longer. The omlette was meh and the home fries were burnt. Not sure what's changed but it's definitely not for the better. But the icing on the cake was when we were leaving. Some rude waitress told us (with an eye roll), there were 14 other tickets in front of us you know, and she tells her table's to expect a 25 minute wait. I tried to explain to her we waited over 35 minutes before I even said anything and I was not being rude. While I started to say this she literally just walked away. I was blown away. I guess our waitress was miffed and complained to other one. God forbid, someone asked after an unreasonable amount of time, how much longer for an omelette and a sandwich. Sounds like their biting off more than they could chew with doing takeout. If you like average food, long waits and rude staff you won't be disappointed here. I will never eat here again and you have lost a long time customer.

The home fries were burnt and dry. The eggs were on the well done side. The service was great.
