I wish this center could be open longer during the day. It closes every day at 2 pm.

Easy In, easy out if you dump early during the week. Saturdays can be hectic! That is why I go during the week!

If you have to dispose your air conditioner (AC) than it is not accepted at this location… you will have to go across the street to scale house, get a $12 permit from there (park inside don’t wait in the long car queue) and you get dispose the AC at scale house. I made the mistake of going to Katrina Mygatt recycling center first. Writing this review so others don’t make the same mistake.

what time is the dump open?
No
No there are company’s that will take it but it will cost money
Yes you can, if it still works there is an leave it type exchange you can drop it for someone else, if it's dead there's is somewhere to dump it, fyi you need a dump sticker in case you don't have one
I believe that they have a bin for mattresses. Drive down and ask them before going through the trouble. They are open Monday through Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm. However, they are closed when it is raining.
You need proof of address and yiur vehicle registration/ownership and go to the administrative office at the recycling center
You must be a Stamford resident and have windshield sticker to allow ide of the recycling center.
No
No, only empty dried paint cans, in CT old paint needs to be taken to a paint store that participates in the paint recycling program
Yes. At the main dump, 101 Harborview. You have to go in the scale house. Bring your car registration. You must be a Stamford resident and the permit is free.

Call to EL Sol News of Stamford
Yes you can. They have a designated area for old electronics
Generally not open on holidays and closes early on days before some holidays check the website for details.
You can get a Stamford dump sticker for your car at the dump on Soundview Ave (at the service window inside the scale house) mon-sat 7am-2pm. You need to show the car’s registration. If you need to use another vehicle for a one time drop off, I would suggest bringing the registration from your regular vehicle with you in case they ask.
Yes. You can pick up a free one by showing your Stamford vehicle registration at the scale house - 101 Harborview Avenue.
Mattresses go to the regular dump on Soundview Ave. There is no fee there for homeowners dumping less than 200 lbs. Electronics go to a special container at the recycling center on Magee Ave. There is never a fee there. (Both locations require a Stamford dump sticker, which is free if your car registration shows a Stamford address.)
