It a constant thing going on with concernhousing for resident to get the proper treatment to go back into society however as I continue to visit my father and can why certain services. I am told the same thing with coordinators, supervisor, it seem they are wait for any resident to sign them out so they can be on the street. I asked for other option but they continue to just force . As my father is a resident it a repeat I’ve cycle for wanting their resident to leave on there own

They are the worst. Applied 2 years ago and have been getting the run around ever since. I've sent all necessary documents just to be denied. Then I was told to reapply again to be approved. Now I receive a letter saying I'm ineligible do to 2 applications on file. Just unreal.

How long does it usually take to hear back from a provider for housing with them?

They are government funded so they're required to maintain regular contact with residents regardless of their cognitive functionality in order to keep everyone housed. They're also legally/financially responsible for both the property and residents. That means regular maintenance and state inspections, as well as monitoring residents' well being and self care. I agree it can be stressful sometimes, but its definitely better than the idea of living in a homeless shelter or being separated from my family. Even section 8 does yearly inspections to make sure the housing is safe for residents. This being mental health housing, the requirements to see residents are a bit higher. I've been in Concern housing for almost 18 years. Arguing with case managers or maintenance will only make me seem less emotionally stable. I can't expect this organization to give my family a 4 bedroom house for 30% of my income with 0 strings attached. I follow the rules, I keep my family safe under 1 roof.
