The best trade union training program providing the safest ironworkers, riggers and welders in the country.

Terrible, an apprentice is treated like a slave. Harrassed everyday, forced to clean the training school for four hours if they are late. Constantly intimidated that if they miss a day of work or school they will be fired. Forced to work in extreme heat, without a tarp or coverage from rain and weather. One apprentice had a dr note and was infectious and was still forced to work. Dept of labor needs to investigate.

Are there still opportunities to join the iron workers local in nyc? Im local 79 since 1997. Rebar crane operations and fabrication in Florida for 2 years and civil engineering tech for another 2 in Miami and ft Lauderdale fl. Im back in ny now.
