This place is horrible I called for help the man hung up on me the receptionist promised I’d speak to someone and no one came to the phone I was disconnected there is no place for emotional Support or mental health

During my first ever manic episode I was forced by the police to go to the Bellevue ER. It was hands down the worst experience of my life. First of all the place is filthy to the point of unsanitary. I was bounced around for 5 hours, it became obvious to me that i was in the wrong place but they took everything (including my clothes) from me and i was stuck.No body would talk to me or answer my questions. i was frightened, manic, and alone and if someone would have just spoken to me for 15 minutes they would have realized I was in the wrong place. Other hospitals have pshyc wards, use them.
