In a word….terrifying. My mother was here for rehab. First scary thing: She had multiple fractures which none of the staff knew about which was dangerous (diaper changes etc.). Next (and the most) scary thing: they almost accidentally gave her a double dose of chemo! Thankfully she refused to take it and told them to call me. The Nursing staff was terrible and medications were not always logged into the system! The aides sometimes didn’t even come when you push the button so I had to do bedpans and diaper changes myself! As far as the rooms go, the rug smelled like urine and there were flies in the room constantly, gross!!! I asked repeatedly to have the rug cleaned but it never happened. I have no idea how this place got their high ratings. Our experience was truly awful and we could not leave fast enough. She is now at Allendale and it is not nearly as nice looking but the staff is 100 times better, with very caring / proactive aides and good nurses.

It is a beautiful facility. The grounds are lovely and the facility is immaculate. I’m sure that my friend is receiving excellent care.
