My dad took me and my brother here as kids to feed the ducks 30+ years ago and I was able to bring my daughter here too after all that time. A nice little area to pull over with kids to feed the ducks. Be mindful of the roadway next to the pull off as it can be a little busy.

The 2 stars are for the parking area which is very small. It would be nice if there was a parking area away from traffic. The ducks were very hungry and gobbled up the dried fruit we gave them and some nearby dead weed. …

My grandfather, took us, grandkids, here, often, when I was younger. It became, a" Rite of Passage", for any Pendergrast, to visit, taking old bread and, much , needed , quiet time, to enjoy, the beautiful landscape and , friendly, Shelbyvillians. I , myself, frequented , the pond, with my own children. A loaf of bread, ice cream cones and smiles, accounted for simple memories. The quack, of the ducks, the fish , jumping, for crumbs, the shade of ancient tree's and traffic , to remind us that we belong to a Township!!! I picture, my Pop's, with a fishing pole, at the time, feeding me , a candy, I'd rather not have and hope one day, my grandkids, can enjoy, the little bit of heaven, that I can show them, on earth!!!

Just a tiny little pond with a great abundance of ducks, geese, and snapping turtles sun-tanning on the large rocks. Excellent place to get rid of the stale bread and entertain the young children as well. Quack!!...Quack!!
