Lovely experience

A favorite place to go for Nordic inspired culture (e.g., films, concerts, exhibitions, language study, readings, interviews). High quality throughout. Note the cafe is currently closed and will open under new management. Check website for more info.

Nice shop with cute Scandinavian keepsakes and treats!

Welcoming peaceful cultural center, even in its off season where not much is going on. The gift shop is a little pricey so come prepared to pay a fair price for good quality items you cannot find elsewhere.

We will announce on here as soon as we have a full opening date planned. The Shop at Scandinavia House has been open periodically for socially-distanced shopping on certain dates — to get notifications on when it will be open, please follow us on one of our social media platforms, or check back to the website for opening times.
Scandinavia house is a cultural institution, such as the British council or Alliance Francaise... They don't provide, as far as I know, any kind of "travel" support i.e. travel services.
Hi Mary! We do have Norwegian language classes, which are offered here by New York University's School of Professional Studies. Thee course listings vary here by semester; all classes take place at Scandinavia House, and you can enroll through NYU's website. Their Scandinavian language courses are listed here: https://www.sps.nyu.edu/professional-pathways/topics/languages/scandinavian-languages.html Thanks for your interest in Nordic cultures!
Check their website to confirm.
The telephone number of the Shop is 212-847-9737. Thanks for asking!
Don't know what you question is, why not call the Scandinavia House and ask them directly.
I don't know what that is but they do sell some packaged Scandinavian treats, mostly cookies, snacks and candies. There is a restaurant where you might be able to have some if it's a Scandanivian specialty.
