I was in-an-out within 30mins. The staff is super friendly and easy to approach. Shoutout to the two Trinidadian ladies who were more than kind during my visit. Keep up the good work!

Pre pandemic you had to get here 30-60 mins before they open to get a good number. I’m here getting tested now and have been waiting in the cold for 1.5 hour so the line hasn't moved for 1.5 hours. Should you want to encourage people to get tested, do better and be more considerate of your patients. It’s very embarrassing to see the Covid line move 100xs quicker than ours. And also as if you don’t care about those getting STI tested. I came here because it’s where I get tested annually. But will never come here again. The security guard downstairs though was very patient and tried to accommodate us as much she could. Today there are only two doctors on staff. But what about the actual people doing the testing. It’s about to be noon and if they tell us to come back I will be so mad.

You do not need insurance to receive services. The clinic is in-network for some insurance plans. Even if your health insurance provider says the claim is out-of-network and denies it, you will not be held responsible for payment. We also provide a sliding scale fee for patients who do not have insurance. You can still receive services even if you do not pay this fee. If you are experiencing symptoms of an STI, we have doctors and nurses onsite who can conduct an exam. If you have questions, you can speak with a healthcare provider from the NYC Sexual Health Clinic Hotline by calling 347-396-7959 (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.)
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, we implemented changes for patient and staff safety. To comply with social distancing regulations inside the clinic, we need to limit the number of people inside the clinic at a time, which can lead to longer wait times. For faster service, you can speak to a health care provider for telemedicine services by calling the NYC Sexual Health Clinic Hotline at 347-396-7959, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Yes! Patients of all ages with symptoms can be seen by a health care provider. At this time, we are offering walk-in STI and HIV testing only to people without symptoms who are 25 years and younger. Treatment is available if needed. We recommend arriving as early as possible as this clinic operates on a walk-in basis. No, we can only provide emergency contraception (Plan B) to the person who needs it. We cannot provide it to a partner. The NYC Sexual Health Clinics provide emergency contraception within 72 hours of unprotected sex, but it works better the sooner you take it. If you cannot make it to any of the NYC Sexual Health Clinics, call 311 or use the NYC HealthMap to find another clinic where you can get emergency contraception: https://a816-healthpsi.nyc.gov/NYCHealthMap/home/ByServices?services=52 Plan B is also available without a prescription at pharmacies. It costs about $50 if you get it at the pharmacy.
You can call 311 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, to speak with someone for more information about the NYC Health Department Sexual Health Clinics. If you are outside of NYC, you can contact 311 by calling (212) NEW-YORK.

No, you do not need to make an appointment. All of our clinics have walk-in services and we see patients on a first come, first served basis.
I was told due to the pandemic only the FLU shots can be given [free] or if u have insurance. I tried getting a hepatitis B and MMR booster. well if you need immunization I suggest coming to City MD in Atlantic Ave and Nevins st Brooklyn. Only issue is there is an approximate wait time of 2 hours. But.... its FREE
