Wonderful experience with Golden Paw. We adopted our first two cats through Proud PR rescue (also amazing) who are affiliated with GPS. I went to donate some food and fell madly in love with this gorgeous girl. Everyone I spoke to at the rescue really cares about the cats and wants to find the best match for them - our cat had a lot of interest from people looking for just one cat and the rescue was waiting for a multi cat home )I can see why she loves her brothers!) I appreciate how it’s been a few weeks and Lucy still IMMEDIATELY writes me back when I text her with a question. This rescue is amazing. They love the cat that are there and they know them.

Everyone was so nice, so helpful, no pressure, was easy to see cats in both huntungton and petsmart. Many great cats hard to choose - Lucy was amazing and had suggestions for me based on what I was looking for and I couldn't be happier

Very friendly helpful and accommodating. They try their best to find you the cat of your dreams. They found Ziggy for me a few weeks ago and he's pretty much just who I was looking for.

Is it true tht you can see a bunch of cats/kittens in a big room and spend time with them to see how they react to other animals etc

Complete the Volunteer Application on the website. To volunteer you have to be 18 years old. Minors over the age of 12 may volunteer at Adoption Events and at some store locations IF they are volunteering with their parent.

This shelter is a no-kill rescue shelter. It is not a breeder. If you really want to give a loving home to a cat, please ignore the unimportant question of breed. Instead, visit the shelter, get to know the cats, and adopt one who needs a home and will be happy in your household.
