BEWARE: there aren’t any restrooms here, so it’s best to go before you come! Also, not very handicap-accessible. Ross Bridge is a tranquil getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. There isn’t much to do for smaller children aside from the wooden train (does not roll). However, this historical landmark is a great spot for peaceful walks to reconnect with nature. The paved trail above the bridge quickly morphs into a dirt pathway, which branches off into several different hiking paths perfectly blended into nature! I’d suggest boots, long pants, and insect repellant if you’re interested in exploring the woods. If not, there are other nice spots down the hill with benches and other areas for a picnic. You can also get a better view of the historic bridge on the lower section of the park (under the paved walking trail).
