My son’s benefits were stopped due to a postal issue. They claim to have called him to ask about it, but they didn’t get an answer. My son had ZERO missed calls. They did not try calling him or if they did, they called a wrong number. He called them on January 11th to get this all straightened out, sent bills showing his address and everything they requested. Three more phone calls later and now it’s February 1st and nothing has been done to fix the problem. I heard the last conversation and the woman at the assistance office was extremely rude to him, so now he’s hesitant to call again. This place is a joke. My son has barely had any food in his house for a month, has bills getting behind bc he had to pay for his food instead, this had created a HUGE problem but bc it’s not one of them, they do not care. Better off panhandling than try to get these people to do their job in a timely manner.

Lady who answered the phone was very rude and sarcastic and when I asked her for her name she hung the phone up on me I tried to call back multiple times and she would not answer

Felt like I was being rushed . Was told I didn't qualify before I sat down. Asked about Medicaid and was told ,"you don't need medicaid, you have medicare." I am also a senior citizen over 65 with a disability . I need life sustaining drugs. I know I filled that page out. Not a word said. Was not a happy person. If she knew I didn't qualify, then why have me even stay to talk to her. I was treated like I was a nobody.

I've been sitting here, waiting for a "phone Interview" since 11:00 AM.! Took the day off for this, yet, no call! I applied for Obama-Care, they booted me over to the state; it's time to update my info, and it requires a PHONE INTERVIEW!!! Well, it's 1 hour 19 minutes past the appointed time YOU GAVE ME!!! If my ass is working and I miss this call, my insurance benefit would most likely be done. I get you are busy, but don't make appointments you can't keep. An email, a text, anything to let me know so I can go about my day, not glued to the damn phone! It's no wonder why people get so riled up! Simple instructions by the state, yet YOU ALL can't follow them!

Crisis doesn't begin until 11.1.19. You can't apply until then.

I agree with Russ knight. If u get food stamps you would be safe waiting the7 or 8 days for them to come in the first week of may after that or if u dont get snap benefits but you dont want to wait to long even with your wife and her new job sometimes it takes 2 weeks to get a pay check . so if u get snap if it were me ide wait till the next day they come out which is on or around may 8th. Even if its medical asst make sure all the family is insured and papers are signed and in order then i would tell them about your change in income & insurance .
