ello, on be half of all the residents that live here. I’ve been a resident here at the Woods of Fairfax Lorton community for two years now. During these two years not only living through a pandemic but all the renovations that have gone on inside and outside of this community. With that being said, corporate decided to raise the rent on many of these residents. Some moved out some stayed, some made it some didn’t. There are a lot of low income families that live here as well as military. During my stay, i’ve noticed many wrongdoings in this community. From health and safety of the community, unequipped maintenance staff and the integrity of management. These buildings are 50+ years old and have a lot of issues. Facelift after facelift won’t hold for long. I’ve taken many pictures that I will attach to this message, that speak for themselves of the health and safety of this community. On top of management who is highly unprofessional, doesn’t do their job, and does not care for the people of this community. Hope Gene B. Glick investigates further into the property manager here to allow this Community to be put back together properly. Thank you (Can’t even upload all pictures)

Clean, quiet and friendly apartment complex. The management team at the front office are always available, and they actually pick up and return calls. Jernell was specifically helpful with my move by answering all my questions and going above and beyond to ensure my apartment was up to my standards.

Multiple water leaks! I lived here for over ten years which was about five too many. I came home four times to find my ceiling torn open, my apartment in diarray, with no phone communication from the leasing office. My apartment was a harbor for mold. Request anything from the leasing office and it literally is forgotten. Im still calling regarding my security deposit, which for some reason, still hasn't materialized, despite the fact that I have now given my forwarding address three times. It keeps getting missplaced! Increasing drug activity. Pitt bulls which are supposed to be forbidden ,are everywhere. Your cars will be damaged by fleet of company vehicles that park there. Also ,be home by 8:00 pm,or finding a place to park is virtually impossible .Your money is truly best spent elsewhere! Did I say I'm still waiting for my security deposit ??? I'll keep you informed. ...One additional thing is when we moved in we asked if we were allowed to paint the apartment and were told that we could as long as it was a color that would not be difficult tpaint over. When we moved final inspection yielded no issues. Two weeks later, we received a bill for 300 dollars, citing having to repaint the apartment, which was a light blue, and carpet replacement. So these shysters are trying to tell me that after 11 years, they wouldn't have replaced it .Theives!! Avoiding these people is your best option.

The apartments are ok. The customer service and trying to get in touch with the rental/leasing was the most difficult thing I have ever experienced. Can call 20 times and leave 10 voicemails without a response. Also was told by a manager in writing that when we moved out we didn’t not owe ANYTHING and two weeks later a different manager said they are sending us to collections if we don’t pay nearly $200. Sad the service and communication was poor, because the physical apartment was not bad.
