The St Paul Grill is a classic fine dining experience. We had a very good experience overall, however the food fell just a bit short of the 5 star experience we were hoping for. My wife's trout and beet salad were good not great. My pot pie was exceptional and our guests enjoyed their meals. The waitress was very attentive. We had a couple of misses on the taste of the drinks. They replaced one without question. I will still recommend this place, we just had higher expectations based on the price.

I'm happy The St. Paul Grill is open again! The vibe is vibrant with a steady rhythm of a well trained staff. Service was top notch and the food was excellent (both in presentation and on the palate). We ordered a dozen oysters, onion soup, a wedge salad, scallops, filet mignon, and a burnt creme brulee, along with a couple of martinis... everything was perfect. One thing to note - acoustically it is a little loud so if someone in your party is hard of hearing this place may be difficult for them.

Filet was perfectly cooked and had great flavor. The Brussel sprouts were crispy while not being over cooked. The Au gratin potatoes were amazing as well, super creamy. I didn’t care for the sangria but that is more of a pallet issue than an issue with the drink they served. The service was pleasant and quick and I look forward to going back.

This St. Paul fine dining staple opens its doors again for dinner after a long hiatus and it’s just as good as ever! Wonderful atmosphere whether in the classic dining room or the gorgeous bar. The attention to detail on the entrées leaves one spoiled for choice to the point that you’ll feel you’ll have to come back soon to try the other option from the two you’ll undoubtedly be agonizing over. So… I did just that. Day 1 was the KC strip, which was pricey, but perfectly prepared. Day 2 was the Shrimp Scampi, which is served without any pasta, but is quite filling and the sauce is the most balanced and flavorful scampi variant I have ever tried. You can’t go wrong with surf and/or turf. (Also pictured is the Filet Oscar from another recent visit). I’m eagerly awaiting their lunch reopening so that I can return to eating more of the food that I have grown to love over the past 20 years! Other foods pictured: Oysters, Calamari, Chicken Wild Rice Soup, Complimentary Bread, Banana Cream Pie, Chocolate Torte,

Yes, it is a la carte with prices ranging $12-$20. There is a brunch buffet downstairs at the M Street Cafe, I believe it is $15 for the full board.

I agree with all of the above statements. However no matter where I have been seated has been comfortable. However if you are looking for some kind of discreet encounter, get a room and order in.
