After a year of waiting for a slot to open, I received a random phone call on a Friday and was told that an opening would be at 2pm Monday and if could make it. As I have work and no advance noticed, I told them I could come at 3 and they told me that I would have to wait for another slot to open. So another year will probably go by before they call.

My son and I attend many car shows together. I enjoy the father and son time thoroughly and I believe that it has been good for him as well. About three years ago my son was diagnosed with aspergerger's. My wife and I thought that he was just a bad kid but that just wasn't it and this diagnosis opened our eyes to a whole new world. Now with therapy and proper meditations that have assisted us in navigating our life with our son and his special needs things have been much better and we feel that we as parents have been able to be better not only for him but even for his sister as well. That's why places like Leg Up Farms are very important for parents, children and whole families to help navigate the special needs that some children have. Through this great journey with our son I found that he was interested in cars and car shows so I ran with it and just happened to find one at Leg Up Farms. While there we got to tour their facilities along with one of the people who work with them who gave us an indepth explanation of what they do there. They use animals mainly horses and through therapeutic riding and interaction with the animals help children through mental and physical health issues. I personally was extremely impressed with this facility not only for what they do but also for the way the the animals on there property are cared for. These horses that perform the important work that they do are treated with the utmost respect that they deserve and live the life of luxury as one of the caretakers put it. They also had other amenities on the property as well like and ADA compliant huge playground, and a impressive indoor city complete with a fire station, a Rutters, a bank, a Martin's potato chip truck and more. There was also a koi pond, indoor riding facility and an indoor pool. Thank you Leg Up Farms for the great work you do we hope that you are able to keep it up for many years to come so we can come back and visit again some time.

We spend approximately 4 hours here once a week for therapies for my son and I couldn't be more happy with LegUp Farm. They truly care about your child and your family and while waiting in between therapies there is enough space to get school work done and eat lunch. All in all a great place with wonderful staff.
