Anything, absolutely anything you eat at Blacksalt is made under the loving, watchful eye of it's manager, JJ. He is a jewel and his attention to detail continues to shine and keeps Blacksalt at the top 5 best restaurants in DC. The food is excellent and interesting; the wine list is delicious and the dessert is sublime.. We are lucky to have Blacksalt in the DC area. It is divine.

I need another word other than amazing to describe my food and experience at this restaurant. This was one of the best branzino I have ever had. Also helpful it's filet and I don't have to deal with the bones. Everything taste great. Highly recommend.

Come here for absolutely delicious seafood prepared perfectly and presented impressively. Everything was well prepared and tasted wonderful. Good sized portion without being too big. Good choice of wines as well. Service was efficient, maybe a bit too efficient. Thoroughly recommended.

I would suggest calling the market. They have a nice selection of fresh fish, and most likely can order special items. Pricing is usually market.
Should not be a problem outside the bar area but sit in the back just the same.
Fish is very fresh on Sundays. Hours are 10 am - 8 pm
