A family friend went here to live. This place is awful financially to the elderly in my opinion based on what she went through there. Avoid it.

I was employed at Ashby Ponds for 3 years as a CNA and then as an LPN, all I can say about this facility is that is home, its a big family where I learned and enjoyed every single day when I was working there, I will miss my coworkers, management and Residents a lot .this a GOOD place to work 💪.

My review is to warn future residents to make sure you read the contract very carefully before you or your loved one moves in. My parents lived in the independent section of Ashby Ponds and then after my mom died , my dad had to move to Maple Grove after a fall. . At that time they said there was a waitlist and even though my dad was not ready to move into Maple Grove because he needed to be in rehab another month, we had to start paying for Maple Grove and pay three months also in Ashby Ponds. We also did not get our initial deposit back at that time. Two years later we decided to move my dad out of Maple Grove and again we were told we had to pay three months of rent even though he was not living there unless it was rented and we will not get our deposit back until after the 90 days. ( another $18000) Of course now they say there’s no waitlist and his place was not rented so we have given Erickson over $30,000 extra In addition to paying for the rent at the new assisted living place he moved to. I understand the new contract is even worse and you do not get back your full deposit. My advice is read the fine print because many times you are in a hurry to find a place for your parent and you are just so happy to find a place they can move into that you don’t realize what you are getting into. There was no initial deposit at the assisted living place my dad moved into and he is getting the same type of care and services for a lot less each month. Do your research and good luck!!
