This is a magical place with heart. I bring my family members and visiting friends when they come to town. The live music consistently impresses any company. I enjoy the intimate atmosphere and the traditional cigar bar experience. I enjoy how they keep it first come first serve, it helps to preserve the authenticity of the personal touch. I immensely enjoy the upstairs balcony, overlooking the band. Every time I've come here the experience has been memorable for both myself and the company I am hosting. Highly recommend and locals or out-of-towners stop by for a drink/ stogie

Tried this place during Alexandria restaurant week... I had to take a bite! THE GUMBO THE GUMBO!!! After we were seated the people next to us said get it first and we did. The Best.... The salmon and Brussel sprout want that tasty neither was the jambalaya sorry to say. Went back the next day to get a to go order of the gumbo.... very disappointed... maybe it was leftovers... thats why I removed a star

Around the corner. I would not consider the distance/placement as an entire block. City hall is correct at the south Fairfax side of King St.
The dining area is nicer than a chain resteraunt so you would be comfortable in evening attire. The band area is a smoking bar. People smoke cigars, so consider what type of clothes you wear . Casual is fine for any part of the resteraunt, bar or downstairs bar.
Times vary but you can always call in or check their website.
