Who doesn't absolutely love hawthorn park its always clean the staff are awesome and I love how whether you're an adult with your children or not the life guards watch out for safety in and around the pools even with your children while you're there they do a stand up job how they pay attention and attend to everyone so intimately don't change a thing (wait it does get a little crowded at times.

This is among the great CA pools, at least for families. The partially shaded kids' area is perfect: it contains a little slide, a platform where even the youngest babies can enjoy the water, and an in-water ledge for parents to sit and watch. There's also a fence with a better lock than many of the CA pools have. The adult pool is also very good, with a beach entrance that doesn't have the rough texture of the Stevens Forest beach entrance, a typical water "mushroom," and lanes and diving board that are off-limits to small children. They sell ice cream sandwiches at a little window by the bathrooms.

You can come without a CA member. However, the price to come without a CA member or without a Columbia card is a bit expensive.
No, last I heard Columbia pools won't be opening this year.
They have added a slide to the kiddie pool, it was just added at the start of the summer 👍🏻
