What a fantastic place for strawberry picking! I've been to a few places and this is now my go-to spot. The field itself has a spectacular view with easy drive-up access. The strawberries were sweet and plentiful without having to sort through a bunch of mushy ones- I've never had such an easy time picking. I called a few pick your own places in central CT and Gotta's had the second lowest price (some of the others were 60 cents more per pound). The girl at the farm stand was super laid back and friendly. Their hours are outstanding remaining open most of the day into the evening. We had ages 2-13 and all had a really great time. Will be back.

That is right around the low side of where to keep it to allow it ferment, i would recommend lowering it a few degrees if you can to ensure it doesn't ferment. Though i would assume 3 days in a fridge and it was bloated you probably grabbed a gallon that was already partially fermented.
