I am HOMELESS because of the housing authority. Since NOVEMBER 2021 ive been calling Foggs, Mr white, Ms gayle nelson, Ms tiffany white, Mr donald kidd, Ms wanda Williams, etc to get my income changed and get my baby on my voucher. I couldn't afford the rent and was trying to fet someone to do their job. Its now May, my family got evicted may10 and we are living on a bus stop with a 10 mth old. They thinking giving me a RFTA once im evicted is going to help. No it makes it worse because this all could have been avoided!! If anythi g happens to my baby or famiky i will call all the news crews and get a lawyer. roof of emails and call logsbegging forthem to help keep a roof over a working families head. Now we are in fear for our lives. I hate them

I've been on hold 5 hours. I sent a payoff request on October 18. 6 day turnaround has come and gone. They won't answer the phone. I need expedited information. They suck!

Hi Deborah, you can call the the Public Housing Admissions and Leasing Center: 410-396-3225 for more information. You can contact the department directly as well by going to www.habc.org/contactus and filling out the contact form appropriately.
What I have learned is to go into the office and handle it face to face. I usually get better results then calling.
We were closed 4 days ago. We normally receive a high volume of calls and is difficult to address every call as we receive them
Find the nearest eviction prevention office. 3939 Reisterstown Rd 21215q
You have to go to rent court and show good reason why your should be put in escrow, faulty power but out light fixtures , stove dosen't work, front door dosen't lock properly, ceiling is leaking or fell and no ones has come back to fix it. Or anything that is dangerous or hazardous. Take pictures and take all documents; work orders and request for work to be done and how long it takes them to respond. 😊😊😊😊😊😊
All of our phone lines have been down since yesterday. We are working with our vendor to bring our phone one back online

You would need to contact the Baltimore City Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). HABC is a separate agency, and does not deal with permits. Their website is: https://dhcd.baltimorecity.gov
You can call and set an appointment or the do walk ins on certain days. Call them to find out!
You can first go to eviction prevention on Gay and Fayette where rent court is. Then you can also go to local churches. The Franciscan Center can provide assistance
If you need help, contact us directly using the information at: www.habc.org/contactus

Hunni it took me 8 years to get my section8 voucher, and I have a child with a disability. So yes it takes a long time, because there are so many people trying to get on section 8. Keep your current address up to date anytime you move because if they send you a letter about coming in for the interview and you don't respond you will be bumped to the back of the waiting list. So just try your best to be patient with this process. I don't know why everyone believes that if you sign up for section 8 or public housing that you'll be in a place of your own within a few months, cus that's not at all how it works. Good luck to you!!
Call the Public Housing office directly to ask this question. You can find their contact information at https://www.habc.org/contactus
