I 10/10 do not recommend renting with this specific complex. The maintenance issues are not addressed in a timely manner nor taken care of properly. I’ve had the same issues since I moved in in October 2021. Washer/dryer ruining clothing and nothing being done about this. Unit was not cleaned to the best ability upon move in which in turn I had to scrub yellowing off of almost everything due to the previous tenant smoking in the unit. Appliances not functioning properly still to this day after many maintenance requests have been placed and “completed”. This is not a “cheaper” rental option so I expect that they would actually take care of the upkeep of the buildings and units. If you do decide to rent with this company…don’t expect your unit to look like the tour unit they have and show to possible tenants.

Washer and dryer not in unit and cost $1 each per load. Have to put clothes through dryer at least twice if you actually want to dry your clothes. They don’t allow your dog to be on a tie out even if you are outside with it

I absolutely love Alpine Village! Jo- The apartment manager is AMAZING. She made my move in process smooth and easy. Any requests I’ve had (which wasn’t many) she accommodated and went above and beyond. My building is clean and neighbor’s are friendly. I would absolutely recommend living here. Great price, good location and good energy.

They would have zero stars if possible. I lived in a unit at Richdale's Alpine Village apartments for 3 years. At move in I paid a $450 deposit, $350 for security and $100 for a pet deposit for my spayed/declawed cat. My cat passed away in early 2015 and I did not have any pets after that time. At my move out I turned my keys into Amanda, the Apartment Manager, after I had finished cleaning and taking video and photos of my unit. She told me that as part of the move out inspection a company needed to do a "black light" inspection of the carpet and pad to make sure the carpet was salvageable since I had a pet during my residency. (This was regardless of the fact that the carpet did not have visible stains of any kind as you can see in the attached photos.) I called to find out when the inspection would take place as I wanted to be present and was told by her that it had already been completed, that multiple urine stains were found in every room, and the carpet would have to be replaced. She stated that everything else in the unit was acceptable. I expressed to her that any stains found were not from my cat as she never used the bathroom outside of her litter box and that the previous tenant had a dog that obviously did use the floor as there were stains on the linoleum in the bathroom (notated on my move in checklist). She stated that the carpet was NOT NEW when I moved in, but that I would need to discuss anything further with Richdale's Corporate office as my file was transferred to them now that I wasn't a tenant. (I would like to point out also, that my carpet was cleaned twice by Alpine Village -- for each year I resigned a 12 month lease - post the death of my cat.) I then called Richdale Corporate and the receptionist would transfer me every time, directly to a woman's voicemail. I would leave a voicemail, the woman would never return my calls. After a week, she answered her line and I was informed she wasn't the person I needed to speak to and that I needed to speak to a move out specialist named Kristy Coopenheimer. When I spoke to Ms. Coopenheimer, she was rude and hung up on me after telling me that I would have to "prove" that the urine on the carpet wasn't my cat's. I called back and asked for her Supervisor and was transferred immediately to Tammy Hall's voicemail. I never received a return call from Ms. Hall. I received a letter from Richdale stating that they had retained 95% of my deposit due to "carpet & pad replacement". They did not include photographs of the alleged damage, even though I was charged for photographs on the breakdown. Two days later I sent a letter via certified mail to the Account Reconciliation department at Richdale requesting copies of invoices for the replaced carpet and pad, proof that the carpet was new when I moved in, color copies of the black light photos, and the opportunity to inspect the underside of the carpet/pad in person; or a refund of the money withheld if they could not provide me with the information. I received no response. Today I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau; to go with the ONE HUNDRED THIRTEEN other complaints previously filed against them. I have spoken to three other tenants who left previous to me who had their deposits retained. In every case they were told the "black light inspection" showed the carpet was ruined. BEWARE as this is what you can expect living in a Richdale property.
