About 1/2 to 2/3rds cheaper to wrap than to paint
I may be wrong but I believe if that clear coat that is peeling is raised then you will see that elevation difference in the wrap. If you can feel it with your hand then the wrap will not hide it. Sand it smooth....I have had seveeal cars wrapped by them and i have gone from black to bright blue, black to white, red to black and the original color doesn't show through the wrap. Hope that helps.
