Glades Electric is the only option I have to get Electrical service in Clewiston. I started paying for services eventhough I would not used it . Later to find out that I had to pay or contribute like everyone else. It is like a membership. The money is used for scholarships and other good causes. Maybe even to pay for their magazine that is distributed by mail to all customers. I don"t know. All I know is that they are SUPER expensive, and if I want electricity I have to swallow and take it . There is frequent outages, but have to admit they are usually fast in repairing. We just had a hurricane past through Fort Myers . Nothing really happened to Clewiston only experience some strong winds. We lost electricity that same night, 52 hours later we still have no power. When you call the office no response. I and everyone around me have no clue as when the electricity will come back. Under theses circumstance one builds patience knowing there are other cities with worst situations. However there are families with small kids , elderly people that may require oxygen, inhalation etc. The same way they expect their clients to pay on time . (Oh yes, if you dont pay on time they are good in disconnecting.) They should move faster or get the necessary help from FPL to come help with this situation. I still waiting to see a Glades electric truck to past by and fix our outrage. Certain areas of Clewiston if you have no electricity you also don't have water , internet, a house phone, electricity to charge your cell phone, watch the news etc . Everything requires electricity. I now have 5% on my cell phone, but I rather sit down here in the dark in sweat and write this review. I reach out to those individual with the power of making theses services available. Please reach into your heart and help make the electricity afforable and provide the services we all deserve. And for the present and upcoming commissioners of this small town, stand up for the people and not the fews and powerful. Take a stand and work for the people of clewiston. here i

They are scammers we never saw worst service and more expensive and some of the neighbors came from Cuba and Puerto Rico they say this company is the same like they had there. Very bad all time when it’s raining or a tropical storm is coming we get back to the Stone Age now it’s not raining but anyway we are out of electricity we lose the food in our 2 fridges and our freezer 3 times in less than 6 months and they pay us in total 0,75$ in compensation, Florida it’s part of a sub developed country or we are just scammed? And the more funny we are paying more than other places where in this moment they have electricity. 6/4/2022 Alex tropical storm not raining since 2h ago.

One Star is way too much! To give this company I have never seen anything like this! The bills are expensive and they can’t even keep power consistent to your home. This is an absolute mess and on top of that they sends a letter stating that they are increasing the charges!!! Increase how about keeping the power on and stop overcharging customers when you can’t even provide a service!

🤦🏾‍♂️This company (Glades Electric) is a serious problem!!! They cannot keep Constant power. I called and complain about the power issues…. I was told by the rude representative for the company that the power outage is not their fault. They charge me 75.00 to look at the problem and they never even came out to the property hence they still charged 75.00 to my account that exceeds 450.00 every month. This is unacceptable I hope that we as customers can start a process of having FPL service our area. I’m sending a detail letter to the county commissioners,FPL board, and Tallahassee asap!!!
