Dr. Wong is awesome. And so is his staff. My father is elderly with dementia and my mother is also elderly and hard of hearing. She is his caregiver and I am their advocate. But we weren’t both allowed back to see Doctor Wong with my father. The new policy is “only one person can come back with the patient”. But they wouldn’t tell us why, just told us it was their policy. I feel like doctors’ offices are still using the Covid excuse to limit their liability. The lawyers probably feel like the less people that witness problems, the fewer lawsuits they will have. It’s unfair and unkind. But more than anything it is downright dishonest. Honor Health should accommodate their patients’ needs rather than exploiting “covid policies” that are really just opportunistic ways to prevent actual scrutiny.
