I'm giving this group 5 stars because I don't believe rating a meeting should be a real thing- AA and it's message of hope is not a measurable commodity, and people in recovery are not graded, paid, or scored. It's made up of trusted servants and regular people looking for a new way to live. That being said, I came here and stopped going here a few years ago because I have never been made to feel worse by a group of women there. Not "tough love," not "telling the truth," but outright bullying and being made fun of when I tried to infiltrate their group. Most people were not like that. But these women had many years sober, and their cruelty affected me to the point I didn't go to any meeting at all. At the time, I couldn't believe people acted like that and accepted I was not one of them. I'm glad I now know that my recovery is my responsibility, and after being sober for several years, I remember their treatment and make sure I always treat newcomers with love, compassion and inclusion. Also, they follow their primary purpose so closely that if you have any co-existing addiction, best not share it. I wish my mom who had 30 years "sober" could have raised her hand and told the group of her all-consuming addiction to opiates, before they finally took her life in an overdose. Primary purpose is so important, but discernment is a spiritual principle and a gift. She just stopped going to meetings and unfortunately I was not at a point of surrender in my own life and could not help. I have certainly grown since then, thanks to my sponsor, my homegroup, the program and my H.P. Thankfully I have found other meetings, but I would still go here with my head held high to hear the message, now that I know the 3rd tradition and that it really doesn't matter if some women don't want you to get pizza with them. Thank you for teaching me empathy for those different from myself. You taught me what not to be, and remind me that I am no worse nor better than anyone else, and everyone who walks into the rooms has already been broken, so they will always have a seat at my table. It's pretty ironic to me that one would rate an AA meeting. Keep coming back! Haha!

Every day. 6:30 am, 12 pm, 5:30 pm, 8 pm and 10:30 pm. The schedule varies slightly on the weekends. I know the Sunday mtg is at 1 pm not noon.

Is there a meeting tonight Sunday February 1st? Is it an open meeting? Are you handing out chips tonight? Can my spouse come even if he doesn't have a problem with alcohol? Thanks in advance. This is my first meeting.
