Nice place to do a short hike and enjoy the scenery. When we came in the fall 2021, there was only a trickle of water. Now summer 2022, there are falls again. We saw fish, crawfish, dragonflies, found a ladies wallet and key in the water...๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜† It was an adventure.

Nice clean refreshing place to spend a few hours or more to just unwind. Really pretty kid friendly too. Nice little pool at the bottom they can play in. The water is only about knee deep and isn't moving too fast. The access path is a little steep in a few spots but definitely managable, even with littles ones.

Very nice lake with a cool waterfall! It rained on us so the fish weren't biting. Still a nice lake to kayak. I will be back!!!

Love the free camping at the fishing lakes Kansas has to offer, Being from Nebraska I used to (wrongfully) believe Kansas was the ugly sister. I didnโ€™t even want to return to Nebraska after spending a few weeks discovering all the beauties the state had to offer, this one included. I took the main entrance and turned left and went down the hill and parked late night and played animal calls from my phone within my vehicle and as a result my wife and I saw 2 raccoons, and a โ€œteenagerโ€ mountain Lion. Very cool experience and the beginning of my new hobby.

Good..post spawm..crappie around deeper cover now...largemouth hitting soft plastice, jigs and crankbaits. Small enough lake to fish whole lake in kayak or boat...if going for cats try near dam and any rocky bank...they should be shallow...what are you fishing for, and do you have a boat ???
