very disappointed and wasted my time. so I had an appointment for blood donation at 2h30 pm. Because it was the first time I had to fill out papers, after that the nurse asking me more questions and the last one was if I have traveled in other countries in the 80' I said I was born in france in 1961 and I left the country in 2003 with my spouse who is an army veteran, I had a full blood work done end of May and no problem so after almost 1 hour she told we can't take your blood because in the 80' you lived more than 5 years in France!!! not only my time was wasted the lady wasn't the most friendly and why as I fill out papers for this appointment this question wasn't mentioned,????

A very pleasant and welcoming experience. Quick in-processing interview, painless setup, friendly monitoring, courteous checkout. My favorite donation location! Great staff!

I had a negative experience at this location, and subsequently left a review through their website. I was contacted by a manager a few weeks later, who explained they had a meeting about the topic and the review I left, and how to better manage situations like this one. I really appreciated that kind of follow up. I don't think I've ever had that happen. Thank you.

These ladies at this Blood donation site are super friendly and do wonderful work and make you feel at ease. I try to do the majority of my donations here. Walk ins are welcome which is also nice.

OneBlood | Mar 5, 2022

Hello Michele. OneBlood is a not-for-profit organization and regulated by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). Volunteer donors remain the only source of blood for patients in need. FDA regulations prohibit blood centers from paying donors for their lifesaving donations. However, it is common for us to recognize donors by offering special promotional items such as t-shirts, coupons, discount tickets or gift cards. The availability of these items may change or may not always be available to donors depending on the specific promotion or location.

No , we take platelet with plasma donations for certain blood types, we do certain promotions such as free movie ticket , or 10 dollar E-gift cards. But if your looking for a plasma center that pays you money you should try to contact BPL plasma center or CSL plasma center . Both of these plasma centers are in the pinellas county area.
