Took my 4 year old down to the lake. This is a nice, peaceful little rocky spot to hang out by the water. Saw a couple people fishing from the rocks near by. We didn't hit the trail but the hike down the hill and back up a couple times is enough! Port-a-potty at the parking lot.

I followed the directions from Google maps. It led me to an area with a small parking lot. There was no clear indication of where the trail was. There was one path that looked like it went along the water bit there was a gate across the path. On the other side of the dam there looked like there was a trail but there was a sign that said restricted area. There were no signs to indicate where the trail actually was. I ended up just leaving.

Yes. They are required by Jackson county to be on a leash.

Does anyone know how long the trail is? I need to take a group of cub scouts on a 3 mile hike and was considering using the trail. Anyone with some information on this trail would be greatly appreciated.

Are you parking on the dam side or the woods chapel side? Not that that matters on distance of course, lol I am just curious what kind of hike you're really looking for,it has multiple tiers that are more difficult the closer you get to shore
