Wow, was kind of surprised! This is very nice facility. Definitely one of the nicest “dumps” I’ve ever been too. Only thing was, I brought an ungodly amount of cardboard boxes nested inside each other, not broken down. I didn’t think about the need to flatten them beforehand, so I gladly started doing it there and the cardboard guy kept trying to get me to throw all of it in with the regular garbage lol 🤷♂️

Love the description "Disney World of Dumps". And better yet....without the cost of a Disney trip. 😀 Workers always helpful and pleasant.

The guys here are helpful and nice. I love that the convenience center is open early and late and on Sunday. I’m cleaning out my garage and attic, so have made lots of visits lately. Great employees!

Yes we do accept old mattress, and it's best that you do drive ur truck up there with the mattress be if you go up there with a box truck or a double axle trailer you will have to apply for a trash pass.
how do I get a trailer permit to take my residential trash to site 7. I was denied to drop off my waste because my trailer had 4 wheels....this is BULL!

Go to wakegov.com/recycling
(Please allow 2 business days for passes to be processed).
You can. If you bring a box truck, you have to sign up for the free permit proving you live in wake county. If you bring it in a van or regular cab truck, then you don't need a permit.
Yes, they're open from 7am-7pm every day of the week. They're only closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve (at noon) and Christmas Day.
They do accept old paint. It's one of the specialty lanes that has slightly different hours than the rest of the convenience lanes. They also accept mixed trash.
Interesting....I asked the attendant at the tire drop off spot and he said it's ok to bring tires with rims. I'll find out tomorrow when I try! Worst case I'll saw it off the rim and be back for scrap metal AND tire deposit.
