My grandmother in law was just placed here and it’s only been a week and nurse walked in to change her (DO HER JOB) and said if i had to have someone change my pants for me i’d just kill myself.. completely unacceptable

Food and rehab services are great. Nursing staff usually cannot be found. When you do find them their answer to your question is "not my job". Admin staff are good, but doesn't know what's going on. I didn't want my loved one here for rehab, but it was the only bed available. I do not recommend this place.

Run this facility has staffing issues nurses and cna are hostile here they have cliques and they do whatever they want you can go to the Director of nursing she don't care the supervisors is worst I never worked in a hostile environment until coming to this place never again

My mother's eyeglasses were lost twice in a few months time. Staff has zero understanding of dementia care. They are unprofessional, uncaring, and incompetent. When Lolita had to CUT my mom's hair out because it was so matted and dirty, she began to explain to me how the staff does not know how to groom Caucasian hair. I walked in one afternoon to find my mom laying flat on her back eating her lunch. Her call bell is always on the floor and out of reach. Her remote control to her tv is missing so she can't change channel or volume. She is always laying in soiled brief when we visit. I wouldn't trust these so called caregivers with my dog.

The reason I say vindictive is that I had the paperwork for my dads dog to visit but because I wouldn't stop taking about having a chair/bed alarm she told me no when in fact the residents ARE allowed to have pets in. The DON also said I couldnt stay the night with him. Another lie. I know cause the state was there during my dads stay and they investigated it. I'm an RN. never will I take a loved one there again!! The state was already there for some other reason so it was easy to speak with the state
I had to do this as well for TWO days. It's actually a big state no no. This barbour court has THE WORST management!!!

no they have a wall unit, the bathroom has no real heat source to warm it up. if the room door leading to the halway is left open the residents room is really cold and I am refering to the newer end, by rehab. Spiders, ants.roaches. cant tell you how often we asked to get rid of the bugs. my mom and myself have ant bites, and or a spider bite . the ants are in the garbage can, cover the bedside table in the morning and are often found in her bed linen.

Because there isn't any newly remodeled anything! The remodeling should start with the staff!!!
If your loved one is already there.. I wouldn't worry about visiting hours. I come all hours of the night & day to check on my mother. They never know when I'm coming. I tell them to let me in the building all hours of the night & I could care less if it makes them mad or not.
