I came here to walk my dog and enjoy the view down by the water. The owner/ manager promptly yelled out at me asking what I was doing here and told me to basically scram since it’s private property!? He told me I needed to leave right now and was aggressive in nature. Honestly, it made me so sad. This area (I think) is the only place in HF right on the water. It has so much potential with the view and old train station. The whole place looks dumpy and run down. Not what I would call an RV park, but more like a run down sketchy area. So disappointing… if the manager I came in contact with reads this I hope you treat visitors with more sincerity and take some pride in your property. What a shame.

Keep looking. Do not be fooled by the one page website of “premier”. There is nothing premier about this place. Start with a cash only payment - higher than most places...and we are willing to pay for scenery, amenities and some comfort although there is a free WiFi. Followed by the fact that you are parking in a graveled lot with no amenities of even a private picnic table or grill - maybe you can use the picnic table outside the office door. Then add in the fact that this is literally right beside a working railroad with a clanging guard gate. Unless you or your child is a fan of trains, and a fan of no sleep, find another place. We had no less than 7 trains during the night with the clanging guard gate. And these are typically not short trains!! There is nothing to do at the “campground” (parking lot). The owners have tried and keep their outside office area neat and pleasant but seriously there is nothing to do except drift off to sleep between trains.

Went down to take a look at the old train station and the river. Very Nice, But A lady came out of the station and afterstating my business told me the area was Private Property! Left soon after. Lovely Spot, Lots of History but if your not parking your RV there- You're Not Welcome!

My husband and I, were NOT at all happy there. We were parked next to train tracks that blew their whistles because of the crossing and they run EVERY 15-20 minutes all night. Tug boats went up and the Hudson River pushing barges. Not a place I would go again, sorry.
