I read some of the reviews and I must say that the transition to PNC was handled very poorly by PNC. The branch staff were misinformed and utterly unprepared to deal with all the issues. The phone assistance required hours of on telephone wait listening to the same song throughout and which has not been changed according to their staff in years! It consumed way too much of my time to manage my personal and business accounts and gain online access (approximately a month and a half in total), but I felt that the staff at this branch have always tried their best. The front desk person triaging the incoming customers really helps and her smile and attitude makes up for the frustration. I have found the services after transition to PNC to be as good as BBVA.

When PNC transitioned from BBVA, the move was something out of a stock market crash movie. The morning of transition, BBVA customers could not access account information. Calling to find out the problem gave a recorded message. No way to speak to anyone. Going to the bank for answers was the discovery that there were no parking spaces available because people were making a run on the bank to find out what happened to the money deposited before transition to PNC. Once able to find a parking space, a large sign was placed directly in front of the door stating an appointment would be necessary to speak to a banker. Once finally inside, it was standing room only and long waits. (This was with the mandatory appointment set) And, when finally a banker was available, they could not help because they could not access information yet. The system was processing the ‘change over’. Their on line banking is antiquated. We can’t track our daily spending on line. There are about 12 multiple choice expense options to chose from and if that doesn’t fit our charge, there is no way to log what we actually did use that money for. The drive up tellers are unfriendly. I would say unhappy-but that’s me reading into it how I would feel. The bank has finally smoothed out to a become a mediocre banking experience. After 30 years of banking in the same location, I long to find the banking experience we lost when BBVA sold to PNC. And would move in a heartbeat if I could find it.

3.5 weeks after BBVA closed and reopened as PNC, we still have no access to our business accounts through online banking. Bank says that they’re working on it but nothing has changed. Deposits take 24 hours to post. Can’t get through to customer service so have to go into a branch to get a balance check or other info. Not pleased with Mesquite Branch and PNC as a whole. I closed my personal accounts and looking to switch business accounts to a better bank that admits when they’ve made mistakes/inconvenienced their customers and doesn’t make excuses.

No, but there is a limit on the number of transfers out of a savings account per month. That is more of a federal thing
