You are in very good hands with Brandy Austin law and firm, Brandy has the best Paralegal she put me at ease with just a few of her words and gave me the confidence that I needed to win my case. Needless to say, choosing this law and firm will be your best decision. I will now always refer anyone Iooking for an attorney to Brandy ! you will NOT be disappointed.

Honestly over priced (3500) for services provided Needed a child support modification took over 8 months and I had to terminate relationship because this could never be accomplished. I also spoke to Brandy 1 time over the telephone in 8 months, she promised me something that she could not deliver. I highly recommend searching else where before using this law firm. Dwayne smith is a much better option. Do not use this firm steer clear. And by the way they owed me money at least 400 left in my retainer and they kept it.

They take your money and dont do anything else,. The first “initial” consultation was free . I had Mr. Morton as my attorney. I had one conversation with him like an hour for the initial process which by they way it was 300 per hour. I send whatever duc they need i even hired a PI. Months later I was not even informed that he had left the firm and i wasn’t even informed who was taking over my case. they took my 3500 and file my ducs and didn't even went to court or even file a motion, I called them and they said “ we will call you later.” And they also gave an excuse saying..”since Mr. Morton is not with us ,Brandy herself is looking after you case….”” Wooww… Im still waiting for that call back to make things “right.” if i could give a negative star i would.i got a new attorney. So far a motion has been filed waayy cheaper as well. Lets see what they will say after writing this.. pretty sure they will respond here, but not personally

Past Staff reviews found on Indeed 2.0 Hostile work environment Paralegal/Legal Assistant (Former Employee) - Arlington, TX - September 29, 2020 Very unorganized office. Management consistently showed favoritism to certain employees who were the same employees who caused daily drama. The firms’ focus was not on ensuring the cases were handled correctly and thoroughly but quickly and with minimal client contact. The files are an absolute mess with hardly enough facts to process them with competence. All staff is constantly required to meet daily sometimes for hours a day to discuss things unrelated to your specific job. The staff is lazy, young and uneducated. Unfortunately, those are the favorites who make a mountain out of a molehill. Management was very immature and acted with passive/aggressiveness toward those not on their “buddy” list. By far worst operating firm I have ever seen. Pros Fun after work activities. Cons Uneducated support staff and biased management 1.0 Lesson learned Associate Attorney (Former Employee) - Arlington, TX - August 28, 2020 The technology was great and the work flow was really good with the tech. Communication in the office was terrible. The staff was full of drama and no one could be trusted. There was intense paranoia, spying, and mistrust. 1.0 Extremely Toxic Work Environment Associate Attorney (Former Employee) - Arlington, TX - December 9, 2019 I was surprised at the level of paranoia and gossip and toxicity present in this office, from the highest levels of management. Inappropriate rumors were discussed in my interview but I rationalized them away. I was excited to work there and I did not want to see any issues. But I found more gossip and more inappropriate behavior the longer I worked there. The attorneys were all extremely overworked and stressed, higher than I've seen in other firms and workplaces. The workload was unmanageable and unreasonable, particularly in comparison with other law firms. This is likely the reason for their unusually high turnover rate with attorneys. The management seems more concerned with their online reviews than the satisfaction of their clients. They did have a very nice breakroom with a good selection of snacks.

If you just modify possession and access, you can file one year from the date if your last order. Three years for child support. You can also modify sooner if there is any danger to the child.
Unfortunately, yes. And it can get really complicated if you wait 25 years because Texas is a community property state and (most) everything acquired during a marriage is community property.
Hi Natali! That's a fun question. I think you are actually asking 2 separate questions. First, is a marriage from a different country valid in Texas? Yes! Texas, like most states, recognizes any marriage that occurred legally anywhere else in the world. You may not even need to register the marriage with the state. Recognition of the validity of marriages performed abroad depends on the laws of the place in which the marriage is to be recognized. The purpose of an actual marriage license is to provide proof that a couple is allowed to enter into a legally recognized marriage. A Texas marriage license, however, can be obtained from any county in Texas and the marriage can be performed anywhere. If the marriage takes place outside of Texas, contact the appropriate state office, consulate or embassy to learn the marriage requirements for that state or country. Those requirements may be different than Texas or other U.S. states. We'll be happy to help if you have any further questions!
Hi Nate! Great question. It depends. Either one, neither, or both may have to pay child support. If one parent cares for the children most of the time, then yes, most likely the other parent will have to pay child support. If they split time equally with the children, they both may have to pay child support to each other! We're happy to help if you have further questions.
Great question! A DBA is not sufficient to protect you and your family. A LLC becomes it's own entity-meaning it is responsible for the actions related to the business. A DBA is basically just a notice that you, as a person, are also operating as a business. There is usually no situation where I would recommend only a DBA for a business. There are several options for setting up entities. While an LLC is a great option, it also may not be the best option. A free consultation with a legal prodessional can help you determine the best option for your business.
