I’ve been waiting for almost an hour and still haven’t been seen!!! Cutting it close because I have another appointment upstairs and I need the mammogram results for that appointment!!! Obviously short staffed as the used gowns were overflowing and one technician!!! This is NOT the quality of service that I am accustomed to!!!

I waited for over 2 hours to be seen on two separate occasions. It’s absolutely insane that this place operates like this.

Where do I begin… I visited the center 5/26 it was packed but I wasn’t worried because I thought that maybe those patients in the waiting room were there for something other than the reason I was and that there was no waaaay Penn would schedule so many people at the same time but boy was I wrong. As I sat in the waiting room I realized that all 50 people or so had gone in before me that indeed Penn scheduled waaay too many people around the same time. I finally got called back around 5pm even though my appointment was for 3pm. When I and 5 other people were called back, we were hauled off into another waiting room and was told they weren’t sure when we would be seen. That “it could be a while”. Soon another radiologist(Lauren) who was much more pleasant than the first came in an apologized to everyone for the wait. She took our names and let each of us know exactly how much longer we would have to wait. My wait time was another 45 minutes on top of the 2 hours I waited in a packed waiting room. At that point I started to read reviews and talked to the other patients in the room and realized that this is normal practice for some Penn Centers. I was told they take as many patients as they can get. And that they even take walk-ins. Why would Penn do this to its patients??? The only driving force I see is money. I started my new job that day and told my boss I would be back in approximately two hours which was plenty of time for an appointment that was only supposed to be 45 minutes. I never made it back to work. My ultrasound wasn’t an emergency situation, I could and would have made it for a later date if I had known I’d just be made to sit for almost 3 hours. Penn does not have enough staff for the amount of patients they see in a day. And would rather have them wait hours to be see to satisfy their pockets. I will never visit the center again unless I have absolutely have to. It was the worst experience at a a hospital I’ve ever had. Lauren definitely helped make it better towards the end. What Penn is doing to their own staff and patients is unacceptable. The poor nurses and radiologist have to deal with angry patients because Penn doesn’t have the staff to support the vast amount of people they schedule. Please go to another center if possible. We have lives to live. Penn doesn’t care!

I got some imaging done here for an ordering doctor outside of Penn's network. I gave them the ordering doctor's information and fax number, and also the fax number for my primary care doctor so they could forward the results. My doctors never got the results, and when I called, I was told that staff at Perelman "couldn't find the fax number" and never attached it to the radiology report. Therefore, my doctors never received the radiology reports, and staff refused to send them. I was told that in order to get the results sent to the ordering physician, I would have to fill out a medical record release form and either mail or hand deliver it to the Perelman Center. I'm chronically ill and have surgery coming up in one week that the imaging was needed for. This massive screw-up on behalf of everyone working at Penn resulted in delays to my care and undue hardship on my part. I went above and beyond to ensure that this information would make it to my doctors in a timely fashion, and Penn went out of their way to put roadblocks in my path every step of the way. Everyone at the Perelman Center and their various unhelpful call centers need to do a thousand times better. They are preventing people from accessing life saving care through their obstinate incompetence.
