This is by far the worst nursing home I've ever had the displeasure of working in. They never have enough linen to change beds or even to bathe people...They never have enough adult briefs for their residents. Staff is forced to keep soiled linen on beds due to the shortage. Residents aren't being changed or being given proper care due to lack of staff and proper equipment. Residents don't have clothing to get dressed so they are forced to stay in hospital gowns. Nursing supervisors are rude and unhelpful. If your loved one is here please check on them. This place is filthy as well.

Unprofessional, attitude, anger sensed through the phone if one calls to say they will be late. Keep your feelings at home. Too many patients for a CNA. Very little linens to use. Some of the nurses are lazy and refuse to help. Why are CNA's called nurse assistants, when they really aren't assisting a nurse...they do the job of dietary, housekeeping, etc. Allow dietary to do their own job and pass out the meal trays. Hold nurses accountable for working with the CNA. CNA's are not slaves to nurses. I am a nurse, but I still will change a diaper, answer a call light, pass a meal tray... It's in my job description for crying out loud. A CNA at Maplewood Manor asked a nurse to help her get someone in bed after the nurse asked her to do it, and the nurse refused to help her. I did not become a nurse just to be a glorified med-tech. I came to help heal and save lives. The whole nursing home system needs some revision.

My Granny was in Maplewood until her passing. I loved the staff, particularly the activities director, Kim. She brought such joy to my Granny and even to me during my visits. Kudos to Maplewood and thank you for your care and compassion for my family.

As a provider the communication is absolutely horrible when it comes time to speak to a social worker or someone in the admissions office to get information or paperwork!! Their phone will just ring and never go to voicemail
