The staff at Sadek and Cooper have been extremely helpful throughout the Chapter 13 process, and I'm lucky to have found them when looking online. I'd definitely recommend Sadek and Cooper to anyone seeking the protection of Bankruptcy.

At this time the 341 Meeting held by a trustee in Bankruptcy is over the phone or Zoom. So, no, you do not need to attend Court in person at this time, but, the hearing is an important part of the case where a trustee will ask question regarding your income and assets to make sure the Bankruptcy petition was true and correct as filed. It is most important that you choose a Bankruptcy attorney that is familiar and skilled in representing Bankruptcy Petitioners for the best results possible.
Homeowner association dues are a secured debt and an association dues delinquency will result in a secured lien against the subject property. A Chapter 13 will stop the homeowner's association from foreclosing on the property and allow the homeowner up to five years to repay the delinquent association dues.
A Chapter 7 Bankruptcy generally takes 4 months after the filing of the case. The trustee's hearing, referred to a 341 Meeting is generally held 30-45 days after the filing of the case and the remaining time thereafter is just a waiting period. Chapter 7 is one of the quickest and most powerful filings in all of law.
Yes. Most people file what is known as a "Chapter 13" Bankruptcy to impute the automatic stay and stop a mortgage or tax foreclosure. The Chapter 13 filer is then given 3-5 years to repay the mortgage delinquency and can reduce or eliminate unsecured debts through the Chapter 13 Plan as well. I hope this helps.
