Hello Jose, I am not part of Catholic Charities and therefore I am not an official voice, but I know that they have a group of lawyers that attend migration cases every Saturday exclusively by appointment ... In your case, there is a need to ask for a pardon only a professional will be able to tell you if it is viable or not ... They are very time consuming with this process and they are not easy because they depend on the severity of what happened. There are some things that they do forgive easily and there are others that they (gov.) Don't even consider for forgiveness. I advise you to approach a professional in the area because they are delicate things and that only the one who knows the laws to match will be able to guide you in an acceptable way.
