Not all their case managers have a degree/masters in social work, sociology, or psychology . SCARY. 99% of the population seeking help is suffering from depression/anxiety due to fear of homeless. While others are homless because of schizophrenia , bipolar disorder or other mental/health conditions . That’s a shame!

God willing and the smart women, that make good things happen. I feel the blessings coming.

Itll be 3 years ago in late April early May that Wendy became a special part of my life. Things tend to move fast for the homeless. And this place does too. None of the smoke blowing hiney uppers you get from some outreach programs. When Wendy says I got you. Take a refreshing breath and Thank whoever and whatever you beleive in. I love them as if they were a part of my daily life. And they are, just like a friend who's there till you get a sober head about you. These people dont rent you a room and say good luck. They help facilitate the beginning of a life again. A home. I'm still not sure what I did to deserve her help. But Wendy if you see this. I'm still in it. Thanks to you and Denton Housing. Salvation Army, and Our Daily Bread. If your homeless your not helpless.

I know alot of people who have gone here anx received no help. I haven taken people on the 2nd of tge month and on the 5th of the month for utility and rent assistance and all times we waited for hours to be told they had no more funds for the month so they could not help. It is a shame they also give out a Mountain of paperwork that they need from someone knowing that person will not have all documents. I hate to give bad vibes about this place but it has never worked in anyones favor I know, and thats a sad situation.
Yes they do not answer the phone you always have to go down there and talk to someone. Also they don't pay that much attention if you're there waiting for a while. And they can't turn you away for any reason because of the program and what is needed and if you are working and you're not making enough or have a full-time job they will not help you even with a crisis and hand
No
Tbh: they might help you. I jumped through hoops and was denied. But, they have different programs for different people. Just make sure you get there as soon as the doors open.
They never asked me once if I used drugs or alcohol. You do need to understand that they operate on a limited amount of funds, donated to them through grants and other sources. Their funding isn't unlimited. I'm sorry they weren't able to help you, but I can personally say these people are no joke. They are serious about what they do and about helping people as much as they can.
This is only a help organization. They will help you find a place live. And if qualify, they will help with rent deposits and first months rent.
Why can't I ever get help when I try to come or call you guys
