I am greatful for the intention of help but my worker isn't informed well enough to assist. But is willing you must work w and realize so many people are in need. I'm 55 w a youngest son still home w me. Let go due to co vid and applied 3 months ago. I went in person at least once a week and am just finding out that there were unanswered questions. You must follow up + work beside them, do not assume anything. There is a great need for our country to wake up! love one another + fight for what's right. Thank you United Way thank you Jesus

They really do not want to help anyone and it’s honestly devastating. People are reaching out to them, desperate and in need of help but they turn a blind eye instead…

Very unprofessional. The young lady Biola at the front desk was more than rude. She also called me stupid and black. I told her that I heard her and was calling the BBB on her. She denied my application calling it fraud. I laughed and showed her the credit card to the business she then had a surprised look on her face. I noticed that after she sent the fraud email she went back in and added duplicate on the application. She was wrong for her assumptions. I even have an assumed name in the business. I do not appreciate her speculating about my profile without doing the proper research. She based her decision off of my letterhead having an old phone number on it. I’m not the only person that had an issue with her. So did other clients in the office. We all are getting together to get something done about this situation.

I applied for assistance due to COVID in March 2022 and my application was never processed due to my Eviction Specialist representative, Josue. Case managers were requesting documentation in order to proceed with my application that was never relayed to me despite going into their office at lease every 2 weeks for 5 months. He is the worst you can be assigned to in their office. In a final attempt to get help due to eviction, I was assigned a different Evc. Specialist who got right on my case, however, it was too late. In the event that you are evicted ( due to the LONGG application wait times) they no longer offer the Rapid Rehousing program that was put in place to pay application and deposit fees to assist families avoid homelessness. If evicted, they can provide you with a list of other " non-profit" agencies in Denton that can assist but if you are a family, beware that it will be harder to find help with these agencies as you are required to stay in family shelter and this form of housing is not always available. Worst case, you will be on the streets with your children and family if you do not have anyone outside of this organization to help you.
