DO NOT EXPECT A WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT!!! I walked in to get a facial and a skinny tall woman (I think is one of the cosmetology instructors)approached me looking at me from bottom to top in a derogatory way and said yes... I told her that I called earlier to get a facial and she looked at my daughter and stated ok she can not come with you. So I was like ok well I didn't know this (yes my bad) and she immediately stated ok what? What are you going to do? Are you still deciding? Coming back or WHAT? I told her in a calmed way no I won't get the service and next time please mention no guests are allowed. She kept talking still in a vulgar sound while I was exiting the building... EXCUSE ME, PLEASE KEEP IN MIND YOU NEED TO BE PROFESSIONAL. IT IS NOT WHAT YOU SAY , IT'S HOW YOU SAY IT. I will not be surprised if this place closes down soon. I wanted to give this place a try since I was close to the salon at that moment. Now I know why it looks so empty and in bad condition inside of this school.

It's Academy of Beauty has several locations. Let me explain why I no longer visit It's in Irving and now Arlington for service other than wash.... It's AB Plano listens to you. You tell them what you want and they confirm it and repeat it to you. Not just the students but the staff. They make sure they understand exactly what you want... At Plano, I don't ask for "A" service and get "C" just because "they" feel like changing what I ask for to a service they want to do... At Plano if a student is uncertain they ask the instructor for insight. At It's Academy Plano... I understand it's a "beauty school" but this is what set Plano apart from other "leadership"... when I go into Plano "It's" the service is equal to my Professional Salon visits, not less. The school service may take longer than a salon but the quality of work is equally compatible... PERIOD

We have had students who are licensed in other countries, to my understanding they have to complete the course over, but I would definitely contact TDLR also list to check the admin can better help you answer your questions also monday in the daytime. Thank you

For esthetics 750 hours full time about 5 months part time 9 months Cosmetology 1500 hours full time 1 year, part time year and a half. Both programs are between 8,000 to 12,000 for the entire course kit included
I don't think they can do the make up but you can go up to the school and schedule an appointment when you need it.
Yes. This is a great school, both students and staff. And if another school in their network has more specialty in what you need they will share that info too. I am very pleased with this school.
