We consider light therapy to be our foundation or cornerstone therapy, mainly because of the benefits and applications are beyond compare. Other therapies have their own specialties, but light therapy is able to do it all. There is nothing better than a whole body treatment and it can easily adjust to work with many conditions and with a variety of methods.

Light therapy is safe and it is also clinically proven for the management of various skin and pain conditions. Light therapy is also non-toxic, non-invasive, and an affordable alternative to prescription drugs and harsh topical treatments. Unlike other types of therapy treatments, light emitting diodes (LEDs) do not contain ultraviolet (UV) rays; so, there is no risk of cancer-causing damage to the skin. In comparision to lasers, LEDs generate negligible amounts of heat and are not considered a significant risk to the general population.

How does light therapy work?

Like plants that absorb sunlight to power photosynthesis that allows them to boost cellular growth, the cells within the body will also absorb specific wavelengths that will stimulate both collagen and elastin growth. Light therapy will also boost cardio circulation which will then deliver more oxygen and nutrients to all of the affected tissues. Just as in photosynthesis the body's cells will absorb red, blue, and near-infared wavelengths to boost performance. In other words, the cells within the body can absorb particles of light (protons) and then transform the energy produced into adenosine triphosphate (ATP); the main source of energy that cells need to power the metabolic processes. The resulting elevation of ATP levels are then used to upregulate cellular performance and repair tissue damage. When the body absorbs particular wavelengths of light energy it converts that energy to produce more ATP; that will then boost the body's natural ability to regain and maintain vitality.

So what is light therapy and what does it do?

In its most basic definition, light therapy is the application of specific energy wavelengths to the body to upregulate cellular performance and achieve therapeutic benefits, including anti-aging, pain management, and wound healing.
