I came here last Friday with a friend and was really disappointed in the food. The service was fantastic though! I have gone to Barbacoa many times and get the same thing, so I know how the quality should be. I ordered the Parmesan flatbread: was way over cooked and hard as a rock. Calamari: the steaks were tiny! Portions were way smaller than normal. Alaskan halibut: fish was tasteless, but the risotto was good. The servers were great though, we had multiple check on us throughout the night. Hopefully they can figure out the food quality, my birthday is in 2 months and I usually have a big dinner party here.

Food is pretty good, plating is fantastic. The problem here is that the quality of food just does not justify the price. And the plating is too fancy for the quality of food. Great atmosphere very fun energetic environment the decorations ad for an awesome ambience. If the quality of ingredients improved as well as the quality of chef to match the plating this place would get four ⭐ for sure maybe five it's just not quite there.

Yes, and they are recommended a week out, for groups bigger than 4 on the weekends.

I think, if they are curious and like to discover weird interesting art. Great place for them. But not a running around type of place. The patio if open may be better for them if they like to get out of their seats. My kids when little used to love Barbacoa.. It was intriguing to them.

Unless you sit at the Appetizer Bar (restaurant inside the restaurant where everything is $15 or under), reservations will always be needed to be sat in a timely manner. This place is a true one of a kind.

That isn't consistent with my experience.
The restaurant opens at 4pm for drinks, apps and dinner. The party for NYE starts at 9pm ans ends at 2am.
