Breathtaking!! Did an open water swim on 8/28 and temperature was comfortable! Someone in our party has Raynauds and was concerned about the temperature, they swam with no issues! I would guess the water temp was 73-75 degrees.

Amazing state park! The camping is awesome and it's within easy walking distance from the lake. It's perfect.
These are campgrounds, there are no cabins here. There are cabins next to the park at the Tahoma Lodge. We used to rent a cabin there for around $150 a night.
Are dogs allowed

Yep! Just not on the beaches. They are allowed in the campground and most trails.
Are toilets closest to the sugar pines beach flush or vault toilets? Is parking limited close to the beach?

They definitely have water and power at some sites. They have a very nice dump station with dump rinsing and fresh water available at same area. Bring your own hoses. I didn't hook up. I really enjoyed this nice clean campground.
There is a large parking lot to the south of the check-in kiosk after you enter the CG. I think they might allow overnight parking there. It's on the left side right after you pass through the kiosk
We would like to stay at Sugar Pine Point State Park. The website says (just as for many other camping grounds) that check-in is "-2pm". Does that mean only until 2pm? Or from 2pm on? We will be arriving at around 9pm,is there no check-in this late?
