After doing the math with one of those door to door solar salesman and figuring out they were trying to overcharge me I gave AltSys solar a call. Unlike the salesman, Eric was able to give me the numbers straight and made sure I knew exactly what I was getting and what I was paying. They gave me a very clear contract & plans, helped recommend a bank to finance through, and we're always available to answer any questions I had during the process. After the city approved the plans they had the solar up and inspected within a few days. I would HIGHLY recommend AltSys solar if you're looking to reduce your electric bills, especially during the hot summers here in the valley.

According to the CPUC website: "NEM allows customers who generate their own energy ("customer-generators") to serve their energy needs directly onsite and to receive a financial credit on their electric bills for any surplus energy fed back to their utility." http://www.cpuc.ca.gov/general.aspx?id=3800
