Michaels Bicycles??? OMG! That place is the best! I bought a bike from "another" manufacturer, and needed some advice on upgrades of the tires. The original shop (not naming names) was completely unhelpful, and the staff acted aloof, like "why are bothering us, you should have known this when you bought it.". They had no options except to buy another bike or change out the rims. Expensive and a lame answer. But Michaels Bicycles? This tech named Ken said, "You want fatter tires on your adventure bike? I have a couple of solutions for that. Bring it in, and we'll try them out.". Totally knowledgeable guy. He knew that a 700c tire, had the same diameter as a 29er. He just needed to see how much clearance there was near the bottom bracket for the thicker rubber knobs. Brought it in the next day, and voila, he was right. Later, I went back to pick it up. When I had trouble getting it on the roof of my car (the new tires made the bike too large for my swing arm!), Ken came out and offered to help!!! Who does that?!?! 😁 We let the air out of the tires, it fit fine, and I pumped it up when I got home...... He didn't have to come out and help, but he saw I was struggling - just a nice guy! So happy I stumbled across this place! Ken earned my business for life!
