I don't understand why I am getting subpart treatment when other times they have been absolutely fantastic. Very dehumanizing ER treatment as they discuss your whole medical history and treatment in the middle of the lobby. Whatever happened to HIPA???!!!! Do better Desert Springs

UPDATE: Since I posted the below review a month ago my husband was again hospitalized this time I had no problem getting to his Doctor and he received excellent care. Update: My husband was again hospitalized on 9/26/22 he was admitted to the emergency department he spent the first night in emergency sleeping in a recliner chair because they didn’t have a bed. A second night in emergency this time he at least got to sleep in a bed. In the late afternoon he was admitted to the 5th floor and I have to say he got excellent care there! I guess the answer is they like everyone ele are understaffed

I know some people that have had some very troubling times at Desert Springs hospital.. I was concerned for myself when they told me I was going there for my ablation procedure. I was very well taken care of from the admitting desk to the pre-registration staff to the nurses for my overnight stay. I'll name names: Paul was the 1st nurse when i got in the room. He showed incredible care and concern. Shifrt change happened and Shenette, Mele and Liz were my evening nurses. They were awesome. They made sure I was comfortable and they checked on my surgery sites to make sure I was doing OK. When morning came, April, Emily and Fia kept the ball rolling. Emily and Fia were very kind and helpful. I was discharged that afternoon. I very much appreciate the personal personal care and concern showed to me and shown to my wife during my stay. Thank you so much.

I just called admissions to see if they take my daughters insurance. She has a very bad back from being struck by a car in her teens. I mentioned to the women who answered that my daughter can't breath due to the pain. This woman Christine was VERY RUDE. Who on GOD'S green eat wants to deal with that attitude when your child is waking up in so much pain? I'll definitely take her somewhere else and be calling her supervisor in the morning. It's a shame because the hospital is right over the fence from where we live. DESERT SPRINGS GETS A BIG FAT GOOSE EGG AND WE HAVEN'T EVEN STEPPED IN THE DOORS. SAD SITUATION, IF YOU DON'T LIKE YOUR JOB YOU SHOULD QUIT.
I agree 100! I don't know of another hospital here that meets their standards; perhaps Henderson Hospital, i've not been there yet. ALL the others pale in comparison.
Their cardiologist Dr sharma did a pacemaker and saved her life. The nurses are so caring and so kind. I fkew up immediately and was impressed with her care. Thank you so much

No visitors in the ER but if he's admitted 2 the floor & is in his room you can visit from 8am-8pm.

You have a right to a 2nd opinion and request for transfer out.Do not let them tell you otherwise.I wish I had done more, my brother passed away there. And a painful passing it was, more like torture. But staff will smile in your face and tell you all is well. ADVICE: when u go visit your loved one, put your cell phone on record and record every last conversation with staff and also your loved one, video what tubes, medications, they have going in&out, and vent settings if any.God forbid something happens, you will need these.

Hi, Boyd. Yes. The cafeteria is open seven days a week from 6:30 a.m. - midnight. The cafeteria grill is closed Monday through Friday from 2 - 3 p.m. and on weekends from 2:30 - 3 p.m., but the cafeteria is still open during those hours for sandwiches, drinks, snacks, etc.

The hospital is legally obligated through HIPPA not to give out ANY patient information, including name. This is to protect the patient most importantly, and family secondarily.
