My Daughter-in-law received a consultation here for molar extractions. The Dentist said she needed bone grafting in order to remove them. I advised her to get a second opinion since her insurance wouldn’t cover the bone grafting. The second opinion came back to say bone grafting was not needed and it’s for patients who need implants. In my world, his out-of-pocket quote is what’s called “Maximizing a deal”. This is why I cautioned my girl to seek a second opinion. He proceeded to disclose to our second opinion Dentist that he’d be referring my Daughter-in-law out. My Daughter-in-law has yet to receive this information through him. Was scheduled for an extraction (covered by the insurance) ... he recommended other work (not covered by the insurance) i denied it, it was to expensive. After me denying the extra expense, he said he didnt feel comfortable doing the extraction and would refer me out to another Dr.. 😠 don't think ill be going back.
