About once a year we head to Great Barrington area to visit our Great Aunt Isabel and Cousin Francis, they always bring us to the Swiss Hutte. It has become a tradition over the years to order the Veal and order the same dessert that our uncle would get while he was still with us. The food is unparalleled to any in the region, and we have tried so many places. The wine selection, paired with outstanding service leads one to believe that these are not typical mountain dwellers, but a highly trained and highly experienced staff and owners that have experienced perfection themselves and want to instill that same experience to every guest that walks through their doors. Our sons, age 7 & 8, love the staff calling them “Sir”, and it really sets the tone for the Casual, Fireside, Luxury experience that has serviced our family, and has been the backdrop for our memories for so many incredible years. Such a beautiful place! The food is absolutely incredible, worth every penny (it can get pricey)! The desserts are equally as delicious as the entrees. This is my personal favorite restaurant. The staff is super sweet and very good at their job. There is a great ambiance here as well, it's a must try place at least once in your life!

This place is an institution of the Berkshires. They make beautifully prepared Swiss food. Favorite items for me include chicken curry, veal sausage, weinerschinel, and their house salad is amazing. They do have vegetarian options which are great too. Desserts are a must. There is also a B&B attached to the business which is charming. I highly recommend this place.

This restaurant and motel is wonderful (especially in the winter when you can sit outside on your balcony and watch the skiers). The owners are very friendly and accommodating. My husband and I have been there several times within the past few months and we are never disappointed. We live in Carmel, NY, but go and spend the night and have dinner at the restaurant for a mini vacation. We were there recently and also ordered food to go. When they came with bags we were wondering how we were going to fit everything into the frig in the room. The wife came over and asked if she could put the food in their frig for the night and we would then get it in the morning when we checked out. We were very thankful. GREAT PLACE. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.
