Yes, you can upsize or downsize a unit if you discover that you need more or less space. You can also switch from a standard unit to a climate controlled or heated unit, and vice versa. If you need to switch to a different storage unit, please speak to your facility manager for details.

All of our facilities sell a wide range of packing and moving supplies, including boxes, bubble wrap, packing tape, and more. Please check with your local StorageMart to find out what supplies they currently have in stock. Our storage experts can also help you choose moving supplies specific to your needs.

No, there is no limit to your self storage access rate, other than the business hours. The gates of the facility lock at a specific time each evening, and unless you have 24-hour access set up, you can't access your unit after the facility's gate access hours.

Most of our facilities offer free extended access, and some provide 24-hour access with manager approval.

StorageMart does not impose a minimum length of stay; all of our leases are month-to-month.

We offer first month free on select units, which are clearly marked on the website. If you select one of these units and move in between the 1st and the 15th, that month is free. If you move in between the 16th and 31st of a month, we will prorate your rent for the partial month and the next month's rent is free! Paperwork must be completed and signed during office hours. After that, you're free to move your belongings in during gate hours.

No, you are not allowed to live in a storage unit. As tempting as it may seem for the rates that storage units go for, it's unsafe (and illegal).
